Move for Life -2024
On February 11, 2024, AluK India participated in the Run for Care 5.0 Marathon organized by Sharanya Narayani International School (SNIS). This event, led by students, aimed to raise funds for Karunashraya, a cancer hospice in Bangalore that provides free palliative care for advanced-stage cancer patients. This initiative was not only about physical activity but also about making a meaningful contribution to the community by supporting those in need.
Karunashraya, a collaborative effort between the Indian Cancer Society (Karnataka Chapter) and the Rotary Club of Bangalore Indiranagar, offers essential care to patients who are beyond curative treatment. By participating in this event, AluK India demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility and healthcare advocacy.
Prior to the marathon, on February 9th and 10th, the entire AluK India team engaged in a training and workshop session titled "Crafting Influence." Led by expert trainer Ms. Ranjani Santhanam, this workshop provided valuable insights into effective communication and strategy development.
This preparatory session equipped the team with the necessary skills and mindset to not only participate in the marathon but also to contribute meaningfully towards its success. It fostered a collaborative environment where team members could brainstorm ideas and formulate strategies to achieve their goals.
On the day of the event, AluK India's participation was marked by enthusiasm and solidarity. Team members ran alongside each other, embodying the spirit of unity and camaraderie. The marathon was not just about physical exertion but also about coming together as a team to support a worthy cause.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of giving back to the community and supporting those in need. Overall, the Move for Life 2024 - AluK India was a resounding success. It not only promoted health and wellness among team members but also made a positive impact on the lives of cancer patients in Bangalore.
